Job Opportunity
IQM is seeking an experienced Political and Advocacy Sales Executive to join our growing Political and Advocacy team. In this role, you will own a personal book of business and drive both net new and expansion revenue with political agencies, campaigns, PACs, and advocacy organizations.
You will lead the full sales cycle from prospecting and pitching through negotiation and close, while partnering closely with Ad Operations and Customer Success to ensure seamless activation on IQM’s DSP and DMP. As a trusted, consultative seller, you will articulate IQM’s value across CTV, video, display, audio, and native, mapping platform capabilities to voter data strategies, district geo precision, and privacy compliant execution.
The ideal candidate brings deep programmatic expertise, strong knowledge of political compliance, and a proven track record of exceeding quota during fast paced election cycles.
This role is hybrid, meaning team members are expected to work one to two days per week in person at one of the office locations in either NY/DC.

What You’ll Do
- Sales and Revenue Generation: Identify, pursue, and close direct sales opportunities with political agencies, campaigns, PACs, and advocacy groups. Own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close, ensuring strong deal flow and accurate forecasting.
- Account Growth and Strategy: Develop strategic account plans to expand IQM’s footprint across the political media ecosystem. Drive renewals and incremental spend through consultative selling and long term relationship building.
- Client Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor by aligning IQM’s data, platform, and audience capabilities with campaign objectives. Guide clients on voter data usage, district targeting, and compliant programmatic execution.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Ad Operations, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to support onboarding, campaign execution, post campaign analysis, and client enablement.
- Market and Product Feedback: Gather client insights and competitive intelligence to inform product development and strategic roadmaps. Stay current on political data partnerships, programmatic trends, and regulatory changes.
- Pipeline and Reporting: Maintain accurate deal records, activity tracking, and forecasts in HubSpot. Contribute to pipeline reviews and share best practices across the Political Sales team.
Who You Are
- 4 to 6+ years of experience in ad tech, digital media sales, or programmatic platforms, with strong understanding of data driven campaign execution.
- 4 to 8+ years of experience in political media, advocacy, or campaign consulting, with deep familiarity across election cycles.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed seven figure sales quotas in competitive political advertising environments.
- Strong understanding of DSPs, DMPs, voter data, audience targeting, and measurement within political media.
- Comfortable navigating bipartisan environments and building long term trust with senior decision makers.
- Highly organized, strategic, and motivated by owning outcomes in fast paced cycles.
We’re Excited If You Have
- An established network across political agencies, committees, PACs, and advocacy organizations.
- Experience selling programmatic, CTV, and data driven media solutions to political clients.
- Strong working knowledge of FEC guidelines, state level regulations, and privacy compliance.
- Experience using HubSpot, Excel, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and political research tools.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, conferences, and political events during election cycles.
Compensation
The starting annual base salary for this full‑time role is listed below and reflects base salary only. In addition to base pay, IQM offers a highly competitive total compensation package designed to reward impact and growth, which may include performance based incentives, commission, and equity participation.
The listed starting base salary represents what IQM reasonably expects to pay at the time of posting and applies only to candidates hired to perform work in one of the listed locations. Compensation for part time roles will be prorated based on the agreed upon number of hours worked.
