Your Future Starts Here

IQM powers programmatic media for regulated markets like healthcare and political—spaces where accuracy and innovation are critical. As an intern, you’ll do more than learn—you’ll build. This hands-on, paid experience puts you at the center of real product development, working on modern AdTech systems used by enterprise customers while gaining practical skills that translate directly into your future career.

Why Intern at IQM?

This internship offers the opportunity to work on real production systems that power a live AdTech platform, where your contributions directly impact how the business operates and scales.

Unlike many internships that focus on isolated or simulated projects, you’ll gain hands-on experience solving real engineering and data problems, collaborating with experienced teams, and building solutions that are used in production.

You’ll develop practical skills, ownership, and system-level thinking that prepare you for full-time technical roles, while working in a fast-paced environment where learning and impact go hand in hand.

About the Role

IQM is seeking a Technology intern to support core technical initiatives across engineering, data, and platform operations. This role is ideal for students or early‑career candidates who want hands-on exposure to real systems and real problems, not classroom simulations.

You’ll work alongside experienced technical teams to help improve internal tools, support platform workflows, and contribute to projects that directly impact how the business operates.

What You’ll Do

  • Support engineering, data, or platform initiatives depending on team needs.
  • Assist with internal tools, automation, or system improvements.
  • Contribute to data analysis, reporting, or QA/testing efforts.
  • Follow standard engineering practices including version control, code reviews, task tracking, and technical documentation.
  • Support platform or product troubleshooting and documentation.
  • Help with technical research and process documentation.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Engineering, Data, Product, Ad Ops, and Sales Ops teams.

What You’ll Learn

  • Hands-on experience working with real production-grade systems, data pipelines, and scalable engineering workflows.
  • How technology supports business teams and client outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience solving real technical and operational problems.
  • How cross‑functional technical teams collaborate in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Practical skills that translate directly to full‑time technical roles.

Success Criteria

Success in this role involves delivering meaningful contributions to assigned tasks or projects with guidance from the team, while demonstrating strong ownership, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. It also includes writing clean, well-documented code and adhering to established engineering practices. Effective collaboration with team members is essential, along with clear communication of progress, challenges, and ideas. Over time, this role builds a solid understanding of how technology systems operate within a real-world business context.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Junior/Senior student currently pursuing a degree (or recent graduate) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and technical curiosity.
  • Hands-on with at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript) and basic software development concepts.
  • Understanding of fundamental concepts such as APIs, databases, or system design principles.
  • Detail‑oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to take feedback and work collaboratively.

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Prior internship, academic, or personal project experience.
  • Exposure to programming languages, data tools, or cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with technical documentation, DevOps, or QA processes.

Tools and Platform Exposure

Depending on the specific project, this role will provide hands-on exposure to the following:

  • Programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript (React) depending on the focus of the role and project.
  • Data tools and technologies including SQL, data processing frameworks, and analytics/reporting tools.
  • Cloud and infrastructure platforms such as AWS or GCP, along with basic DevOps workflows.
  • Version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Jira) for code management and task tracking.
  • Monitoring, logging, and documentation tools used to support production systems and engineering workflows.

Compensation

This is a paid internship with a competitive hourly rate which may vary depending on location and program track. Additional details will be shared as you move forward in the interview process.
