Gallup’s annual trust poll consistently ranks nurses as the most trusted profession in the country, with 75% of respondents saying they highly or very highly trust nurses. They’ve held the #1 spot every year since they were added to the list 1999, with the exception of 2001 when they were #2 behind firefighters.

Why this matters
Trust drives action when it comes to health matters, and patients are hyper sensitive when discussing treatments to their conditions . Nurses, who have the country’s highest trust ranking for over two decades, are a credible messenger that brands have largely left untapped.
